The only personal branding strategy you'll ever need (spoiler: it's you)
KEEPING READING FOR MY TOP 5 PERSONAL BRANDING TIPS TO GET YOU 20,000 FOLLOWERSβ¦ is not what Iβm going to sayβ¦ (sorry not sorry).
If youβre tired of hearing the exact same tips on your feed, and want a way to build a personal brand that feels real, aligned, and letβs be honest: doable, then stay with me. If you want to:
οΈβ‘ Ditch stereotypical βhacksβ.
οΈβ‘ Build your personal brand around YOU.
οΈβ‘ And make sure it doesnβt feel like a chore.
Then youβre in the right place! Because without spoiling anything, you are the brand.
Letβs strip it down.
Letβs be real - your feed is full. Full of content. Advice. Opinions. βExpertsβ telling you exactly how to do things. Soβ¦ where do you even start? How do you decide whatβs actually useful? And how do you know whatβs going to work for you? Itβs overwhelming. And honestly? Sometimes repetitive. Youβve seen it before:
π βPost X times a weekβ
π βMake sure you comment on X posts a dayβ
π βSpend X amount of time on the platform each dayβ
π βCreate a content calendarβ
Hereβs the truth: Most of your favourite creators arenβt doing this. Iβve done the digging - and hereβs whatβs really going on behind the scenes:
β‘ Carolina Barbosa - Strategy? Noβ¦ She literally is her own strategy. As she would say, βThatβs it. Thatβs the postβ.
β‘ Rebecca Shipton - Is SO unapologetically authentic, itβs insane. Each post screams her personality.
β‘ Allanah Micallef - (not saying Iβm your fav at all), but one thing I do is write post to post, no content calendar! Itβs how I stay reactive and make posting stay and feel enjoyable.
And guess what? Doing in it a way that feels right for us, works!
You are the brand.
Letβs say that again louder for the people in the back: π¨ YOU are the brand π¨
What worked for someone else? Might totally flop for you. Thatβs okay. Thatβs actually the point. The truth is the only βhackβ thatβs proven to work and going to stick long-term is building your personal brand around you. Hereβs a way to think about it:
π« What does your day-to-day look like?
π« What feels realistic without compromising your other activities and free time?
Start there. No pressure. No rules. Just a loose plan that works with your life right now.
Maybe for you, that looks like:
π Creating/scheduling content in advance or posting with the flow.
π Posting 5 times a week. Or maybe just or 3.
π Spending a max of 30 minutes a day online or an hour.
And hereβs the key: none of it is permanent. Try. Test. Tweak. If something feels heavy or off - change it. Because the moment you stop chasing someone elseβs formula and start creating from a place of alignment, thatβs when your talent will shine through.
Your brand should feel like you - not like another job.
You didnβt decide to start building your personal brand to feel stressed or feel constantly behind. You started it because you had something to say. Something to share! And just because youβve decided one thing might work best (a schedule, strategy etc), doesnβt mean you have to stick to it.
β¨ Give yourself grace.
β¨ Stay flexible.
β¨ Let it evolve.
The minute you strip back expectations and stop chasing what you βshould doβ and start paying attention to what actually works for you.. Thatβs when: things will click and youβll connect more deeply. So before I leave you, hereβs my blessing to:
π Skip a day or two or five (until you feel ready to go).
π Switch up what works best for you - whether thatβs long or short-term.
π Try and test different content styles.
Remember: doing something you enjoy, shouldnβt feel like a chore !!! <3

(How many times did I reinforce that YOU are the brand?)
