How to secure your dream LinkedIn collab, and secure that bag too

Getting FOMO over those super cool LinkedIn creator partnerships? You’re not alone! Want in, but you not sure where to start? Don’t worry - I’m here to help you:

️⚡ Set up your profile so it SCREAMS “open for partnerships”.

️⚡ Pitch yourself to the right people.

️⚡ Land some killer collabs!

From posting online to becoming an entrepreneur - let’s gooo…

Sit back. Grab some popcorn. I’n about to share the biggest hacks I’ve learnt - the things I wish I’d known from day one. Straight into it!

You need to make yourself discoverable - and more importantly, contactable. Here are my top three quick wins (they’ll have you thinking why you didn’t do them sooner):

Hack one: Linktree is your BBF!

Set up a FREE Linktree (or something similar). Use it to host all the key content brands should see - like examples of your work - and, most importantly, your email address !! Caption it something obvious. Something clickable:

  • “Partner with me”

  • “Work with me”

  • Whatever suits your vibe

Hack two: get your profile ready.

Add a single line at the top of your ‘About’ section - not the bottom. This way, it's easily spotted and positions you as open to collaboration. (Feeling bold? Add a note in your headline too).

Hack three: spice up your banner!

A simple but effective way to show social proof is to add logos of brands you’ve worked with. It doesn’t need to be a paid partnership - a webinar or feature counts too.

Put them where they’ll be seen as soon as someone lands on your profile. This visibility is key.

A quick moment for reflection.

Before we dive into pitching, take a moment to think about the types of partnerships you want and how they align with your content and audience.

It’s so important to find the right brand fit. Influencer marketing works best when the right person is matched to the right campaign. So, what matters to you?

Let’s use me as an example:

💓 I talk about marketing. 💓 I explore fun campaigns. 💓 I share personal experiences.

It makes sense for me to work with marketing tools that benefit my audience, or brands seeking visibility for creative campaigns. Now take a moment to reflect on what makes sense for you!

Sell the vision!

Inbound opportunities are SO cool right? But what about that one dream brand that still hasn’t slid into your DMs? It’s time to take matters into your own hands!

Step one: create a deck!

This doesn’t need to be complicated, and you can easily make one yourself. (I’ve linked a fab Hootsuite guide below). As long as you know what to include…

  • Your ‘why’ - tell your story and why you post. Let them understand you.

  • Your stats - demographics, industry, seniority levels. (Share impressions if you like - but we all know they vary).

  • Showcase your best work - past partnerships or favourite posts. Give a real sense of your content and tone.

Step two: do your research.

The right contact person will vary by company. Look for job titles like:

  • Influencer Exec/Manager etc.

  • Community Exec/Manager etc.

  • Social Media Exec/Manager etc.

  • Talent Exec/Manager etc.

  • PR Exec/Manager etc.

  • Marketing Exec/Manager etc.

Their profile might make it obvious. If not - just ask if they’re the right person to talk to!

Step three: pitch with purpose!

Going in cold? Then you have to sell the vision. How would your content fit into their campaign? How would you spotlight their product to your audience? The more tailored your pitch, the more impact it will have. Show them how working with you adds value. This isn't a blanket email to 100 brands - it’s personal, strategic, and intentional.

My holy grails:

Now it wouldn't be fair if I brain dumped all this information on you and let you fend for yourself! Here are some of my top resources for all things stripping your personal brand back to see what’s realistic:

⚡ [Tool] Linktree FREE (run don’t walk).

⚡ [Tool] Canva FREE or Adobe Express FREE (get creative on those banners).

⚡ [Blog] Hootsuite Brand pitch guide for creators [deck and email templates] (may I say less).

To cut the story short.

If you've read my entire blog - thanks for staying around! Here's a quick-fire recap:

️⚡ Give your profile a glow-up: add a Linktree, your contact info, and social proof.

⚡ Reflect on what kinds of collaborations suit your content and audience.

⚡ SELL THE VISION: create a deck, reach out to the right people, and show them why you are the perfect partner.
